On behalf of the Austrian Society of Sports Medicine and Prevention and the Austrian Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation we are happy and proud to host the 7th European Congress of Sports Medicine and the 3rd Central European Congress of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Salzburg, the famous City of Mozart. We have merged the specialty Sports Medicine with the specialty Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Time and location for this congress are 26th to 29th of October 2011 in Salzburg Congress Centre.
In the wide field of Medicine the two areas Sports Medicine and PRM are connected in many branches so we think that this congress will create a new way of interdisciplinary cooperation, aiming at a better way for treatment of patients and athletes as well as an increase in the quality of research in these fields.
This congress will provide a diverse and unique opportunity for attendees to share, discuss and learn the latest advancements in treatment, prevention and research in PRM and Sports Medicine.
The four day congress will include a variety of educational opportunities such as keynote lectures, paper presentations, lectures, debates, symposia, hands on workshops, instructional course lectures and technical exhibits. We will provide a variety of new therapeutic, prophylactic and specific techniques and skills. The city of Salzburg with it's surrounding country is a very attractive place and famous for culture and sports. We would like to welcome you with our “Austrian Hospitality” to share the recent practical and scientific developments in the area of Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The congress will also offer the possibility to get to know new friends and colleagues.
